Birth of a bracelet CHANEL
All the magic of a masterly craft
"I want the jewellry to be like a ribbon on a woman's fingers"...
… declared Gabrielle Chanel in 1932 about her first jewellery collection of adjustable pieces without clasps, using platinum and diamonds. Nearly 80 years later, current creations still bear her influence. The new Haute Couture bracelet is no exception to the rule, fluidly encircling the wrist with a femininely curved interlaced design.
The Haute Couture bracelet took shape in the hands of craftsmen in the best Parisian workshops. Jewellers, setters and polishers spent over 5 months working with white gold and diamonds. The result was this ribbon made up of 18 volutes set with 905 diamonds, shaped around 45 baguette-cut diamonds, with a 5 carat oval diamond as the centre-piece.
